As part of its efforts to ensure that eligible voters are not disenfranchised in the 2019 general elections, the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has released a new portal for confirmation of voter registration and PVCs.
The portal is part of the innovations being introduced by the leadership of the INEC to ensure a free and credible elections in 2019.

According to the commission, voters are expected to visit the following portals for confirmation of their Voters Registration and PVCs:
1. http://ift.tt/1uuWwl1 for Voter Verification.
2. http://ift.tt/2xvLt5s (use last 7 digits of VIN or DoB to confirm Reg with INEC)
3. http://ift.tt/2EdeTc3 (direction to collect PVC once ready)
It would be recalled that in the past, issues of missing names of voters on election days have been a challenge for Nigerians and the electoral body.
However, with the new innovation, the INEC says eligible voters can now verify their eligibility as well as polling units even before elections.
NAIJ.com previously reported that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said that 85 members of its staff died in 2017.
This was disclosed by Mahmood Yakubu who is the chairman of the commission,on Wednesday, January 24.

Yakubu spoke before the members of the Senate committee on INEC to explain the inclusion of construction of a sick bay at the commission’s headquarters in the 2018 budget appropriation.
