- President Buhari says the money will be channeled into building roads, rails and others

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed that the extra money Nigeria earns from sale of crude oil at the current price of $70 and more will be put into judicious use.
According to the president, it will be used for building of roads, rails and power projects as well.
The president made this known in a Facebook post late on Saturday, January 27.

He wrote: "I want to assure Nigerians that every additional income that comes to the Federal Government in 2018, from the rising price of crude oil, will be deployed to infrastructure projects: roads, rail, and power, for the benefit of all our people.
"We will not repeat the mistakes of the past, when as a country we failed to fully utilize rising oil prices to develop our infrastructure.

"Our administration's pledge to you is that we will make every Naira count, for the development of Nigeria. #TheYearOfInfrastructure"

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com reported earlier that personal assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on social media Lauretta Onochie has accused all past Nigerian leaders of having corruption tied to them expect her boss.
Onochie tweeted a graphic on Saturday, January 27 claiming that of all Nigeria's past leaders, only President Buhari's named is not tied to corruption.
“Name one Nigerian leader not accused of corruption,” the message read. “No one can argue this. Some may insult, abuse, or even clown, but no one can dispute this fact. #PMBRunAgain”
