Speaking during a press briefing in Abuja at the weekend, the group stated that Nigeria was set on a path of self-destruction prior to the emergence of President Buhari on the political scene, Daily Trust reports.

The group’s national co-coordinator, Comrade Paul Emumena Michael, said previous governments supervised and encouraged corruption, criminality, nepotism and other vices.
“Our infrastructures were decaying on a daily basis insecurity became a norm in our society, funds budgeted for power, security, health and others were mindlessly looted and diverted into personal pockets and foreign accounts.
“Thankfully, God in His kindness gave our country President Buhari, a man of proven integrity and for once in the history of our country; Nigerians began to understand the doctrine of sowing and reaping. The path of our country was redirected for good. The hope of a better Nigeria became more visible as loopholes that encourage corruption were blocked,” the group said.
