Speaking at the PDP's national secretariat, the former Sokoto state governor said the increasing number of presidential aspirants coming on the platform of the party is a signpost that the PDP is adding more strength to his biceps, Daily Trust reports.
He, therefore, enjoyed the party to allow direct primary system so that it won't repeat one of the mistakes that led to its downfall in 2015.
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com has earlier reported that the All Progressives Congress (APC)’s National Executive Committee will take a final decision on whether to choose its candidates using the direct or indirect mode of primaries, on Thursday, August 30.
The ruling party will also deliberate and agree on the modalities for the nationwide membership registration/revalidation of members.
