In preparation for the 2019 elections, Senator Andy Uba has concluded a tour of the seven local governments that constitute the Anambra south senatorial district, as he seeks to return to the Senate for a third term.
The All Progressive Congress (APC) senator, used the tour to interface with party delegates and his constituents on his performance in the upper chamber so far.
The senator also used the tour to settle all warring APC factions in the senatorial zone to ensure a united front in preparation for the polls.

Speaking to journalists after the meeting, the senator thanked members and stakeholders of the senatorial zone for their consistent support over the years an assured them of more dividends of democracy if re-elected back to the Senate.
His words: “The tour afforded me the opportunity of discussing with the people, delegates and stakeholders of our great party, the APC on the successes recorded so far.
“Before now, the senatorial zone has been rocked by all sort of factionalization which almost tore the party apart. But to God be the glory, we have been able to bring all warring factions together, thus putting an end to the internal crisis rocking the party in the local councils.”
The chairman Senate committee on interior also expressed confidence that President Muhammadu Buhari and all candidates of the APC in Anambra state will emerge victorious in 2019.
The senator had earlier participated in the APC presidential election in his Uga ward 1.

Senator Uba warmed many hearts in the state recently when his convoy stopped to rescue accident victims while on constituency tour in his senatorial district.
Senator Uba and his aides assisted the victims after arriving at the accident scene few minutes after it occurred in Ezinihite along Onitsha-Uga road.
He also donated an unspecified amount of money to the accident victims after ordering a vehicle in his convoy to take them to the hospital.
