Chelsea boss makes big statement about his star player Eden Hazard

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri believes Eden Hazard is on the part of becoming the nest player in the world only if he can work hard.

The Belgium international scored a spectacular goal for the Blues in their EFL Cup triumph over Liverpool on Wednesday.

His individual brilliance also played a role in his national team finishing third at the FIFA World Cup tourney where they won bronze medal.

After netting the winner for the Stamford Bridge outfit in their midweek encounter, his goal tally rose to six after seven games in all competitions.

"We have seen only 70%, 75%, 80% of his potential," Chelsea manager Sarri told media.

"If he is able to improve, he will be the best in the world."

The Italian born tactician took over from countryman Antonio Conte before the start of the season and he is unbeaten so far.

He insisted that he is "absolutely certain" the Belgian can improve if he continues to better his game by the day.

Asked where Hazard can better himself, the Italian said: "With more intensity in training. If he is able to improve in training, maybe he will be able to use himself at 100%.

"It is very difficult to compare him with other players. He is a genius. He's unique."

The Blues will hope to maintain their unbeaten when they welcome the Reds to the Stamford Bridge in a Premier League encounter - barely four days after their last meeting in the cup competition.

Chelsea are currently third on the table with two points behind the Reds, who have won all six of their league matches so far this season.

Sarri believes Jurgen Klopp's side are "ready" to win the Premier League and Chelsea's win on Wednesday will not give them advantage in Saturday's fixture.

"It will be another match in another competition with a different starting XI," said the 59-year-old former Napoli boss. "It was a difficult match on Wednesday and it will be very difficult tomorrow."

The Belgium captain had been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid and in July the 27-year-old said it "might be time for something different".

However his former Chelsea team-mate Thibaut Courtois joined Real on transfer deadline day on a six-year deal.
