The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted prospects of thunderstorms and rainfall activities with cloudy weather conditions cover most parts of the country on Saturday, September 29.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office on Friday, September 28, predicted partly cloudy to Cloudy conditions with prospects of thunderstorms over the central cities like Yola, Lafia, Jos, Kaduna and Abuja during the morning hours.
It predicted chances of scattered thunderstorms over Gombe, Bauchi, Taraba, Lokoja, and Niger later in the day with day and night temperatures of 26 to 33 and 16 to 22 degrees Celsius respectively.

The agency predicted that northern states would experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions over the northern states with chances of thunderstorm over the north west during the morning hours.
It also predicted afternoon and evening localised thunderstorms over the northeast and cloudy condition over Northwest with day and night temperatures of 30 to 36 and 20 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, southern states will experience moderate rains over southwest with cloudy condition over the Southeast and morning rains over Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar and Yenegoa.
“Thunderstorms are anticipated over the inland cities while rains are likely over the coast in the afternoon and evening period with day and night temperatures of 28 to 31 and 21 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively,” it predicted.
