Nigerian-British boxer Anthony Joshua defeated Ukraine's Wladimir Klitschko in a boxing brawl to defend his IBF heavyweight title on Saturday night, April 29, 2017.
Joshua was born to Nigerianparents and grew up for some of his early years in Nigeria before he went back to UK.

The IBF heavyweight champion has won all of his 19 fights as a professional boxer but here are some things we did not know about the 2012 gold medalist.
1. Chess player
He is a great fighter as well as a great chess player. He says he uses chess to improve his tactical prowess.

2. KO Specialist
The 2012 Olympic gold medalist has won all 19 previous fights either by KO or by TKO. Most of his fights have not taken longer than seven rounds.
3. Nickname
Popularly known as ‘AJ’ on the ring, his friends refer to him as ‘Femi’, which is the short form of his name ‘Oluwafemi’.
4. Record holder
Joshua is the 2nd British boxer to win a world title after winning Olympic gold. Also he is the 2nd boxer in the world to win a world heavyweight title while being the incumbent Olympic heavyweight champion.

5. Bricklayer
He worked as a bricklayer before taking up the boxing job full-time.
6. Late starter
He started boxing late unlike other professional boxers who start training at an early age. Joshua did not start boxing until the age of 18.
