Premier League leaders Chelsea have extended their lead on the League standings to seven points after beating Everton 3-0 on Sunday, April 30, 2017 at the Goodison park.
Everton would have themselves to blame for losing this tie as the duo of Romelu Lukaku and Ross Barkley had superb chances in the first half.
But the Toffees defenders did amazingly well in the first 45 minutes as Chelsea attacking trio of Diego Costa, Eden Hazard and Victor Moses could not penetrate.
Pedro Rodriguez and Conte in fine mood
Pedro Rodriguez scored a beauty from outside the area in the 66th minute from a Diego Costa pass leaving the former Barcelona man to beat Everton goalie Maarten Stekelenburg.
After conceding the first goal, Everton changed their tactics and all efforts to restore parity were futile as Chelsea failed to give a chance.
Gary Cahill and Willian scored the winning goals for Chelsea in the 79th and 87th minute to give Antonio Conte's men a good hope of winning the League title. It ended; Everton 0-3 Chelsea.
Meanwhile, the Riverside Stadium, Brazilian star Gabriel Jesus scored at the death as Middlebrough forced Manchester City to a draw.
