A Dutch couple, Donald and Gertruda Boots, who adopted two Nigerian children from Ekiti state 12 years ago have brought them to visit their country of birth.
The couple and the young boys, Joshua Oluwasola and Victor Ayoola, visited the governor of Ekiti’s wife, Feyisetan Fayose, on Thursday, April 27, at her office in Ado-Ekiti.

Donald expressed that they decided to bring the boys back to Nigeria so the boys could have the opportunity to familiarize themselves with members of their immediate family.

He further said the children’s education would not be complete if they were unable to trace their roots.
NAIJ.com gathered that the eldest son, Joshua, is 17 years old while his younger brother, Victor, is 14 years old.
Mrs Fayose expressed her joy in participating as a host for the beautiful couple and their adopted children.
She said: “I am happy to see the two children in good health and in high spirit. My interest in their welfare informed my decision to visit them in Amsterdam in 2006, during my husband’s first term in office.”

However, First Lady Fayose, expressed regret over her husband’s inability to receive the couple and their children. She also thanked the couple for taking care of the young boys.
Joshua thanked the Ekiti state government and everyone that took part in their adoption process, adding that their fortunes improved since then.
