Arsenal defeated Sydney FC 2-0 at ANZ Stadium on July 13, 2017 to kick-start their pre-season tour in Australia, NAIJ.com reports.
The Gunners took the lead in the 4th minute when Per Mertesacker scored an incredible overhead kick following a deflected corner.

The home team almost equalized when they hit the woodwork in the 36th minute after forcing goalkeeper Petr Cech to make a low save to maintain the lead for the visitors.

Arsene Wenger's men could have been 2-0 up at the brink of half-time when Joe Willock had mazy run before taking a tricky shot which was denied by Sydney's goalkeeper Redmayne.

Redmayne also denied the visitors another goal after he saved Danny Welbeck's spot-kick in the 56th minute.
Arsenal's record signing Alexandre Lacazette came off the bench in the 67th minute to make his debut for the North London club.
The Former Lyon striker immediately made an impact in the game after netting in the 82nd minute to extend the lead for the visitors.
