Adamu also said a growth in Nigeria's economy could only be guaranteed with an inclusive and functional education system.
In one of its reports, the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) estimates that 10.5 million Nigeria are currently out of school.

The agency also said of the 10.5 million children 60% are those who live in the Northern region of Nigeria.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that the executive director of National Agency Literacy, Adult and Non-Formal Education Abba Haladu said 11 million Nigerian children are out of school in Nigeria.
