Head coach of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Gernot Rohr has reportedly threatened to quit his position as Nigeria prepare for the crucial 2018 World Cup qualifier against African champions Cameroon.
According to the report obtained by NAIJ.com on Wednesday, July 12, 2017, the German tactician was said to be disappointed which how he was treated after the Super Eagles embarrassing defeat against South Africa in Uyo.
Rohr is expected to meet with the leaders of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) in Morocco next week and a source close to the 64-year-old hinted that the former strong defender might tender his resignation letter.

''There was a showdown meeting between Rohr and the Technical Committee after the South Africa loss, after which the Committee recommended certain things including vetting the list of players invited and injecting new Technical staff into the team, which the coach frowned upon,'' the source explained.

Rohr has however told friends that he can't work in the current situation and had sought reassurances from the leadership of the NFF failing which he will have no choice than to quit the position.
