Romelu Lukaku stated that Jose Mourinho was the person who convinced him to make the switch to Manchester United after completing £75million move from Everton.
It was believed that Lukaku's close friend Paul Pogba played a key role in his move to Old Trafford but the big Belgian admitted that the Frenchman played no part in helping make up his mind.

Lukaku speaking about Pogba's role in his move to Old Trafford said: “We were just on holiday together.

“At the end of the day I had to make my own choices.

“It was the conversation I had with the manager that really convinced me the most, the plans and how he wanted to rebuild the club and he wanted me to be part of it.
“I am grateful for the chance,” he added.
The former Everton striker was on the verge of joining former club Chelsea before the deal was hijacked by rivals United.
