A 21-year-old student of the Federal College of Education in Plateau state has been found dead in her room after she allegedly aborted her baby.
According to NAN, the student was found by neighbours who peeped into her window to find out if she was okay.
The neigbours were curious about her wellbeing after no one saw her and they discovered that her door was locked.
A source said: “When we peeped, we saw her on the bed, but she did not respond to our greetings and appeared lifeless. So, we forced the door open and found her dead.”

The police public relations officer at the Pankshin command, Tyopev Terna, confirmed the incident, adding that the girl was found lifeless on her bed.

Terna explained that her neighbours said she was healthy the night before she was found dead in her room.
He added that the neighbours had to force her door open after they noticed that she has not prepared for school.
She was rushed to the Pankshin General Hospital where doctors examined and confirmed that she was dead.
Terna quoted the hospital report: “The student attempted to abort a pregnancy, which probably resulted to her death.”
“We have commenced investigation into the matter, but we are not suspecting any other cause outside what the medical report suggested.”

Her body has been taken by her family members for burial in Kanke.
