NAIJ.com gathers that Orji disclosed that the process was ongoing in the state’s 13 local government areas, and that its aim was to make the IPOB youths who he described as being ‘misled’ into joining the agitation for secession, to be economically independent.
According to Orji, this would help to reduce criminal activities in the state.
He stated: "These IPOB youths are being registered in the Department of Education and Social Welfare in the LGAs.
“After the process, the state government will create a programme to train them in their chosen career.
“Those of them that have taken to the streets due to lack of job will be empowered so that they can be usefully and meaningful to the society.
“Those who are living and staying outside the state are equally undergoing our empowerment programmes.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that following the proscription of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), the Ebonyi state governor, Dave Umahi, stated that governors from the southeast would not abandon Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the group.
However, Umahi stated that Kanu would have to rebrand his group in order to be able to enter into dialogue with the authorities.
