- Joey Barton unimpressed Anthony Joshua played a Nigerian song ahead of his title defense
- Joshua took 10 rounds to defeat Frenchman Carlos Takam as he defended his world heavyweight titles
- Barton would have preferred if the Nigerian-British boxer played Stereophonics or Manics
Former England international Joey Barton has taken to social media to criticize Anthony Joshua for playing Wizkid's hit song Ojuelegba as his entrance music for his title defense against Carlos Takam.
Joshua asked for the song to be played as he made his way to the ring at the Principality stadium in Cardiff for the defense of his IBF and WBO world heavyweight titles.

Barton was not impressed with the move and took to Twitter to share his thoughts. The former Newcastle, Marseille and Burnley man tweeted: "Love @anthonyfjoshua but ring walk music is c***. Needs to get a decent DJ sharpish. 70,000 in Cardiff. Get @stereophonics or @Manics on."
Joshua took ten rounds to defeat Carlos Takam, who only agreed to the fight on a 12-day notice after the withdrawal of Kubrat Pulev.

The bout lasted 10 rounds, and it was then when a thunderous uppercut and a head blow to Takam forced referee Phil Edwards to intervene and end the contest, handing yet another scalp for Joshua via TKO.
