A 38-year-old woman identified as Gaje Zubairu has lost her life days after delivering a set of quadruplets. The deceased was said to have had the delivery through caesarian operation at the General Hospital in Malumfashi, Katsina state on Wednesday, October 25, 2017.
Dr Abdulhamed Abdullahi, the chief medical director of the hospital, did not give details on the things that led to her death as Zubairu was said to have died at about 11am on Sunday, October 29.
However, some sources at the hospital revealed that the woman’s death did not have anything to do with the caesarian section she went through as she had gotten better after the delivery and plans were being made for the naming ceremony of the babies.

It was also revealed that one of the babies had died the day she delivered them. The woman had moved beyond that as the other three babies were said to be in good condition. She was looking forward to the naming ceremony of her babies.
A kind-hearted person was said to have bought the ram to be killed on Wednesday when the babies would be named. Thus, the news of the death of the woman left everyone shattered as it came as a rude shock to them.

According to Punch, the remains of the deceased had been taken to Gora Dansaka, her village, where she was laid to rest according to Islamic rites. She had given birth to three boys and a girl through CS; a medical team had taken the delivery at the hospital in Katsina.
