Coutinho's magic helps Liverpool secure vital away point against Newcastle

- Coutinho continued his fine form since his return to the Liverpool team

- The Brazilian scored a stunner to give Liverpool the lead in the 29th minute

- His goal was however cancelled out by Joselu as both teams struggled to get the winner

Phillipe Coutinho scored a stunner as Rafa Benitez led Newcastle United to a 1-1 draw against his former side Liverpool on Sunday, October 1, 2017.

Coutinho opened the scoring for Liverpool in the 29th minute when he picked up the ball over on the left wing, quickly cuts inside, weaves past two Newcastle players before unleashing a curling shot from 25 yards out. It was a trademark Coutinho strike but also a beauty.

However, Newcastle got the equalizer in the 36th minute through Joselu but with a huge slice of luck.

The Spaniard does really well to latch onto a great pass forward from Shelvey. He charged into the penalty area and looked set to take on Mignolet but an attempted sliding clearance from Matip came off the striker and past Mignolet in goal for Liverpool.
