A non-governmental organization, Alimosho Youth Development Association of Nigeria (AYDAN) has written an open letter to President Muhammadu Buhari on how the problems plaguing the country would be solved.
In an article sent to NAIJ.com, the President of the group, Comrade Ogungbade Olawale Lateef, congratulated President Buhari on the 57th Independence anniversary celebration, urging that all political office holders in the country should emulate the late heroes that fought for the country’s independence by making life meaningful to others.

Reacting to agitations trending in various part of the country, comrade Ogungbade said that political office holders across the country should be blamed, adding that political office holders only see their appointments as an opportunity to enrich themselves at the expense of the general public.
He said: “Until this anomaly is being corrected, the crisis will continue to loom, and the tempo of secession and restructuring will continue to gain momentum.”
He described the crisis rocking the country as a crisis of neglect as he urged Nigeria leaders, especially the lawmakers to enact and promote people-oriented laws for the betterment of the masses and the nation at large.
Comrade Ogungbade while commenting on restructuring said a lot of views have been generated regarding restructuring and various views on restructuring have been aired.
“Some sections support economic restructuring while others support political restructuring, I want to advise on a holistic approach towards the issue that is continuously gathering momentum in various ethno political groups.
“The fact that the youths are the leaders of tomorrow and the fate of this country lies in the hands of youths, they shun the habit of being political toddlers, footlockers, and sycophants and embrace progressiveness and should be ready to champion courses that are youth-oriented in nature. I want to assure that nothing stops them from vying for even presidential position come 2019”, he said.
He explained further that Nigeria as young, vibrant and brilliant youths that can successfully take up the leadership mantles of any political office come 2019.

“The period to think about what we can do for our great country is now, Nigeria is in dear need of all well-meaning youths to nurture her to greatness. Be among the agents of positive change, not destructive tools in the hands of egoistic, egocentric and selfish political leader.
"Nigeria can be great again. God bless Nigeria, God bless Lagos State, God bless Alimosho Local Government. God bless Alimosho Youth Development Association of Nigeria (AYDAN).”
