Spanish champions Real Madrid on Sunday, October 1, 2017 defeated visiting Espanyol 2-0 in a tough La Liga battle played at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu.
Espanyol would have themselves to blame for losing the match against Real Madrid as they wasted many chances which would have resulted to goals for them.
The visitors were however made to pay for their profligacy in the encounter when Spanish professional star Isco opened the scoring for Real Madrid in the 30th minute.

Portuguese international Cristiano Ronaldo provided the superb assist for the 25-year-old Spaniard who curled the ball at the far corner of the post.
Espanyol were anxiously looking for the equalizer in the second half before Marco Asensio provided a wonderful pass for Isco to score the second and winning goal for Real Madrid in the 71st minute.

With this victory, Real Madrid have now moved to fifth position on the Spanish La Liga standings with 14 points from seven matches played this season.
