Governors on the platform of the Nigerian Governors Forum are meeting with Speakers of State House of Assemblies in Abuja.
According to The Punch, the meeting is taking place today, Tuesday, December 16.

The emergency meeting is taking place inside the old Banquet Hall of the Presidential Villa.
Governor Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara state who is the chairman of the forum is chairing the meeting and is believed to be in connection with the planned constitutional review.

The Conference of Speakers had asked all Houses of Assembly to conclude debate on the proposed constitutional amendments which were sent to the states by the National Assembly.

According to Daily Trust however, the meeting may be related to the approval for the release of $1 billion to fight Boko Haram.
Meanwhile, Bayelsa state governor, Seriake Dickson, reiterated his support for the restructuring of Nigeria.
The governor made the call recently during a chat with journalists in Yenagoa, the state capital, after a tour of some recent projects embarked by his government.
Governor Dickson frowned at the attitude of the federal government towards those calling for restructuring, adding that those calling for the process are true lovers of Nigeria.
