And Robins defender Hordur Magnusson has revealed Jose Mourinho came into the their dressing room at full time to congratulate the players.
“This [beating Man Utd] is something you have not seen before and of course it was just fun to be part of this,” Magnusson told Icelandic outlet Fotbolti.
"Mourinho came into the dressing room and praised us for the performance and wished us good luck.”
In his post-match interview, Mourinho claimed Bristol City had been lucky to get the win and he bemoaned his side’s fortune after twice striking the post.
However, Magnusson thinks the United boss was just acting up to the cameras and believes his dressing-room praise was genuine.

“What he said in interviews after the game was I think more his character as a manager rather than the man himself,” Magnusson added.
It is not the first time Mourinho has been involved in the opposing side’s dressing room this month following an altercation after the Manchester derby.
