It has just been reported that a 50 years old man in Uganda recently tied the knot with three women, of which two of his wives are blood sisters.

The man who was identified as Mohammed Ssemanda is a food vendor in Kasenyi landing site, a district of Kampala in Uganda. He disclosed that he had a joint wedding because he has no money to marry these women separately.

Ssemanda in an interview revealed that he is comfortable marrying these women because they are not jealous of each other.

He said: “My wives are not jealous against each other. Good enough, each one has got a home and I promise to work harder and support them.”

However, his first wife Salmat Naluwugge is 48 years old and has lived with him for 20 years and has five children together, while the other wives are 24-year-old Mastulah and 27-year-old Jameo Nakayiza.

Ssemanda’s first wife thanked her husband on behalf of the other wives. Naluwugge said: “I thank our husband for marrying us all at once, a sign that will not discriminate or sideline any of us.”
