Guardiola's men started their fourth round FA Cup clash against Cardiff firing from all cylinders and they got an early reward in the 9th minute as Kevin De Bruyne clever free-kick went under the Cardiff defensive wall and into the corner of the net.
Man City continued to pile the pressure and they got their second from a very rare Raheem Sterling header in the 36th minute.
Bernardo Silva played a fantastic cross into the box and Sterling was at the right place to bury his header into the back of the net. The game ended 2-0 in favour of the away team as Guardiola's men progressed to the fifth round.
Premier League table toppers Man City are already looking like runaway winners and they are in the final of the Carabao cup likewise into the Champions League round of 16.
