- MFM FC bus involved in a ghastly accident in Ondo state
- No life was lost but some sustained injuries including the coach of the side Fidelis Ilechukwu
The team bus of last season's Nigeria Professional Football League runners up Mountain of Fire Football Club of Lagos was involved in a road accident on Sunday, January 28, 2018.
According to reports reaching NAIJ.com, the accident happened at about 4.40pm along Akungba, Ondo state on their way to Lagos from Jos where the team honoured week five away game against Plateau United.
The game ended in a 1-0 victory for the League Champions.

NAIJ.com gathered from an eye witness that no life was lost from the accident but few individuals were injured including the coach of the team, Ilechukwu Fidelis who just recovered from illness.
The accident comes few weeks after the team bus of another Nigerian league team Kwara United was involved in an accident in the early hours of Wednesday, January 10, 2017.
No deaths were recorded also but some of the players sustained injuries.
MFM FC finished last season in second position and are one of Nigeria's two representatives at this season's CAF Champions League.
