The implementation of the Executive Order (6) by the federal government is important for rooting out corruption in the country, says Paul Arkwright, the outgoing British high commissioner to Nigeria.
The diplomat stated this during a Channels TV interview on Monday, October 15.

NAIJ.com gathers that he said: “I’ve heard that this is an anti-corruption measure. It’s not for me to say who should or should not be on the list.
“But what I would say is that it’s very important in continuing this fight against corruption and rooting out corruption where it is happening.”
He added that it is a priority for meetings to take place with political candidates, in order to discuss expectations for the 2019 general elections.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the decision of Justice Ijeoma Ojukwu of the Federal High Court, Abuja, which held that the Executive Order 6 (EO6) issued by President Muhammadu Buhari did not violate the right of citizens to own property, has been appealed by two legal practitioners - Ikenga Ugochinyere and Kenneth Udeze.
Delivering judgment on October 11, Justice Ojukwu had ruled that the EO6 was in line with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
