Nigerian soldiers have rescued 5 persons from Boko Haram captivity and destroyed a camp suspected to be used for training of inducted terrorists in Bone village, Borno state.

The camp was destroyed during a clearance operation which was carried out by troops of 112 task force battalion and mobile strike teams of 22 brigade of Operation Lafiya Dole in collaboration with some members of the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF) on Friday 27.
According to a statement by the director army public relations, Brigadier General Sani Kukasheka Usman, the clearance operation was also carried out in Gawa, Bone, Kajeri 1, Kajeri 2, Kube, Dubula, Boboshe 1 and Boboshe 2 villages of Borno state.
The army spokesperson stated that during the operation, the troops discovered that the terrorists had made a make shift night market in Boboshe with newly harvested farm produce on display for sale.
He said: “After conducting a thorough search of the vicinity, they recovered 3 Isuzu vehicles, 4 Dane guns, 1 Dummy gun, suspected to be used for training of inducted Boko Haram terroists and mattresses hidden under shrubs, amongst several other items ahead of Bone village.
“They also rescued 5 persons taken captives by the criminal Boko Haram terrorists gang at Boboshe 1 and Dubula.

Meanwhile, troops of 112 Task Force Battalion of 22 Brigade on Operation Lafiya Dole have successfully ambushed a group of Boko Haram terrorists.
According to a statement by the director, army public relations, SK Usman, the incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, October 26, in furtherance of the ongoing clearance operation.
The army urged members of the public were urged to remain vigilant and report suspicious movement of persons to security agencies.
