- Wayne Rooney has been given the green light to build a new mansion
- The pad which is under construction will have a cinema and swimming pool
Englishman Wayne Rooney is now planning to have a new mansion that includes a five-a-side pitch, cinema and two fishing lakes.
The Everton striker is replacing an existing horse riding arena with an artificial surface for a kick-about and has been given the green light for the £20 million project.
Rooney's new pad will also have swimming pool and the former Manchester United is expected to move into the property along with his wife Coleen and sons Kai, Klay and Kit later this year.
Wayne Rooney's development was given the go ahead by East Cheshire Council planners, but the parish council warned: “This development must not have a further impact on the Green Belt; any additional extensions beyond what has already been approved must not result in a reduction of openness across the site.”

Rooney is hoping to get £64,995 for his metallic ionic silver motor that can reach 60 mph in just 4.4 seconds.
The 31-year-old Everton attacker was caught drink-driving last September during an infamous night out in Cheshire with his breathalyser showing an alcohol level of nearly three times the legal limit.
