A young Nigerian-British man identified as Silas Adekunle has created the world’s first real-life gaming robot, MekaMons. The real-life game is being sold in all Apple stores all over United State and the United Kingdom.
The young man who recently graduated with a first class degree from the university reportedly struck a deal with Apple. It was gathered that Adekunle created the game with his 4 year experience in robotics and his love for gaming.
Adekunle managed the Prince’s Trust’s Robotics in schools program in Bristol. He also led a team of engineering students to schools to share awareness to young students on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) through robotics.

According to the young Chief Executive Officer of Reach Robotics company, the robot allows the user to play games in both real-life and virtual reality. It is a combination of real-life gaming and virtual reality gaming.

He said: “We’ve created an entirely new video gaming platform,” said Adekunle in a press release. “MekaMon straddles both the real and virtual worlds while taking the gaming experience beyond a player’s screen and turning their sitting room into a limitless robotic battle zone. MekaMon represents a quantum leap forward in the leveraging of augmented reality. Players can whip out their iPhone to battle their multi-functional, connected battlebots in the physical and virtual worlds at the same time.”
