United Kingdom-based publisher, Daniel Elombah has been reportedly arrested by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad unit of the Nigeria Police Force.
Elombah, the publisher of elombah.com was allegedly picked up in his hometown in Nnewi, Anambra state on Monday, January 1, alongside his brother, Tim.

According to tweets monitored by NAIJ.com on Twitter, Elombah was picked up for criticising President Muhammadu Buhari in an article he published on his blog.
NAIJ.com cannot however verify the authenticity of these claims.
Many Nigerians have however taken to Twitter to call for the release of the publisher, who is also a lawyer.
Prominent among those calling for Elombah's release is a former minister of aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode.
The former minister also claimed he received a call from Daniel's wife detailing how her husband was forcefully arrested.
A text message sent to police spokesman, CSP Jimoh Moshood by NAIJ.com, to inquire if the arrest was true was responded to swiftly.
It read: “Good afternoon sir, I will find out from Anambra state command and feed you back very soon. Many thanks.”
Few weeks back, the Nigeria Police announced that all officers of SARS would undergo psychometric test, training and continuous assessment to determine their suitability.
The police also ordered the prohibition of SARS operatives to act as body-body-guards, delving into land matters, personal disputes, debt collection and civil matters.
