A video of teacher at Hoërskool Die Burger scolding his class has gone viral on Twitter this past weekend.
The video, which was posted on Sunday, showed the teacher making racist remarks when he presumable got fed up with his students’ behaviour.
The educator was heard calling his students ‘idiotic blacks’ and continued to tell them the only thing black people invented was peanut butter.
The video was posted by one of the students’ sister, @Mpoww_D, with the caption: “24 years into Democracy and this is the kind of racist behaviour that my sister and her peers have to endure from their educator every morning at Hoerskool Die Burger”.
The female tagged Julius Malema and Floyd Shivambo in the video.
According to the @Mpoww_D, the school has apologised for the incident and said the teacher would receive a final warning.
But, Twitter users were outraged and felt the educator should receive stronger punishment for his actions.

However, other Twitter users defended him, by saying they found nothing racist about incident. Some pointed out the video did not show what happened prior to the teacher’s rant.
