EPL giants Manchester City secured a 2-1 hard-fought victory on Tuesday, October 2, over German side Hoffenheim in tough Group F UEFA Champions League clash played at Wirsol Rhein-Neckar-Arena.
Man City, however, had to come from a goal down to earn all three points even as they fought hard to get back their Champions League campaign back on track.
Ishak Belfodil opened the scoring for the hosts just a minute into the encounter, slipping the ball under Ederson from Demirbay's clever pass.

However, the lead was short-lived as Sergio Aguero leveled scores for Man City, six minutes later to make it 1-1.
The visitors continued to dominate the match thereafter even as the talented attack-line attempted to break Hoffenheim's stubborn defence.
Upon the resumption of the second half, Pep Guardiola's directed proceedings, with Riyadh Mahrez coming in for misfiring Raheem Sterling in the 70th minute in a tactical substitution.
The match was destined for a draw before David Silva sniffed out a goal from nothing just three minutes to stoppage time to hand his side a deserved victory.
The tie was a must-win for the visitors, having suffered a 2-1 shock defeat to French side, Lyon, in their group opening tie a fortnight ago.
