Treasured in my heart you’ll stay, until we meet again some day I'll forever remember your humble spirit...R.I.P"

Speaking to LIB on his friend's death, Afowobi said:
"It's really a terrible news. I still chatted with him on Facebook a few hours before they announced his death. Khalid was a very gentle guy, humble and respectful. He was my school son. As a matter of that the morning he died, he still called his friend, Oyetakin Wole and he was fine. The student union is making attempts to visit his parents for condolences. His elder brother put a call through to us that his mother has been moved down to their home town in Abeokuta because she couldn't bear the loss and she's in shock."
RIP to him!
