Nigeria’s vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, landed in Enugu with his entourage in the morning of Friday, September 29, on his way to Anambra state.
Osinbajo was received at the airport by the governor of Enugu, Lawrence Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, amid dancing by a troupe from the state.

The vice president landed in Enugu on his way to Anambra to attend the funeral service of late Mrs Ezinma Akabueze, the mother of Mr Ben Akabueze, Special Adviser on Planning, DG Budget Office of the federation.

Also present at the church service was Anambra state governor, Willie Obiano.

However, Anambra is currently in the heat of a governorship election that would test the popularity of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state against incumbent Governor Willie Obiano.
