Victor Ajisafe, a popular Nigerian pastor based in Sierra Leone, has been reportedly arrested by the country’s government after he allegedly made remarks some consider outrageous against Islam.
Ajisafe, the founder of The Sanctuary Praise Church, one of the biggest churches in Sierra Leone, allegedly made the remarks during a Sunday sermon with the video going viral on social media.

The country is believed to have arrested the clergyman for provoking a Muslim population of about 78 percent, according to the 2015 Pew Research Center estimate.
The Guardian UK reports that Ajisafe called Islam a violent religion of lies and deceit as, according to him, people of the religion have been responsible for every terrorist act in the history of the world.
It is learnt that the pastor is yet to be charged as the head of Sierra Leone’s Criminal Investigations Department, MB Kamara, said: “Everyone is very upset by his message.
“We are a very religiously tolerant country and no one ever worries whether someone is Muslim or Christian. We all have lived peacefully for generations, and no one wants that disrupted.”

The government also earlier said Ajisafe was being kept for his own protection.
NAIJ.com earlier reported that a Ghanaian man who parades himself as a pastor, was recently arrested for defrauding about 4000 unsuspecting people of their money.
According to reports, Apostle Amenu Joel of the Holy Spirit Community Chapel, Sekondi-Takoradi, Ghana, scammed his victims under the pretense of issuing soft loans for their businesses and to buy cars.
