Cristiano Ronaldo has paid a touching tribute to his late father Jose Dinis Aveiro who died when he was just 20-years-old.
Ronaldo posted a family picture of his late dad with his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. held twin babies Eva and Mateo in front of a painting of Aveiro.

He wrote on Instagram: "You will always be with us."

Ronaldo has previously admitted he had a difficult relationship with his father, who battled alcoholism saying: "My father was funny when he was drunk.
"But I didn't get to know him for real, from the heart and I don't know why he drank, maybe he was frustrated with his life.
"I wanted a different father, one who would be more present to see my achievements."

Jose died of liver failure in September 2005 while Ronaldo was still playing for Manchester United.
If only his father could be around to see his achievements in the game.
