Alexis Sanchez has slammed criticism from Chilean press after the national team’s poor results during the international break.
The Arsenal striker took to Instagram to post a message accompanied by a photo of himself in an Arsenal shirt with a Chilean flag.
It was the first post from the player since sharing a dejected image after the Gunners’ 4-0 defeat to Liverpool on August 27.
The 28-year-old posted: “And the next moment is coming.

"You get tired of being criticised with reason and without reason, you get tired of wanting to be defeated, you get tired of saying to yourself “once more I’ll get up” after crying after a defeat, and you get tired of telling the world and people who are with you, that everything is going well.
“And what’s worst, is that no one ever realises how that makes you feel … I have the Chile No.7 on my back and it’s an enormous responsibility, that’s why it pains me that journalists and bad people criticise without knowing …”

Chile have lost three games on the bounce, suffering defeats to Germany in July and two 2018 World Cup qualifiers against Paraguay, 3-0, and Bolivia, 1-0, over the past week, leaving them sixth in the South American group and one place behind a play-off spot, currently occupied by Argentina
Against Liverpool, his sole appearance for Arsenal so far this season, Sanchez won all three of this take-ons but created only one chance and failed to register a shot on target during his 61-minute long outing.
