Anthony Joshua has claimed the prestigious GQ Sports man of the year award at Tuesday night’s GQ awards.
The 2012 Super Heavyweight Olympics champion is a Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE).
Not only is he undefeated but the manner of his success (he has 17 knock outs in 17 fights) makes him the deserved winner of this award.

The heavyweight champ was presented with the award at London's Tate Modern by actor Idris Elba to crown a stellar year so far.

The boxer confirmed his title defense will be held on October 28 against Bulgarian Pulev.
"October 28 can’t come soon enough," Joshua said. "I have been eager to get back in the ring since Wembley and now we are confirmed and ready."

The Cardiff bout is expected to take place at the Principality Stadium in front of an estimated 80,000 people.

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Antonio Conte was awarded the special achievement f the year award for leading the Blues to the Premier League glory last season.
