Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has lashed at Aisha Alhassan for saying President Muhammadu Buhari promised to serve just a single term in office saying it was a lie.
The minister of women affairs had caused a stir when she publicly endorsed Atiku Abubakar for 2019 presidency.

She also went on to insist during a BBC Hausa interview that President Buhari promised to serve just one term in office and that he did not tell anyone that he would contest in 2019.
New Telegraph reports that the governor of Kaduna state accused Alhassan of never having been on side of President Buhari describing her statement as absolute falsehood.
He said: “There was never any time this issue was discussed in our group or GMB (as he then was) even talking about any single term. As a man of deep faith, he believes everything about him is in the hands of God and the preference of the people of Nigeria.
“I speak on what I know, heard or experienced in my interactions with PMB and our party leaders.

“I have expressed in previous interviews of my preference, hope and prayer that PMB contests for a second term of office in the interest of the stability of our party and our nation’s progress.”
NAIJ.com had earlier reported that Senator Aisha Alhassan on Thursday September 14 appeared before the National Working Committee of the All Progressives Congress (APC) over comments regarding her political allegiance ahead of the 2019 presidential elections.
Vanguard reports that the party said the minister has apologised to it over the comments which it said were not well-thought out.
NAIJ.com gathered that the minister who arrived the national secretariat of the party at about 1:45pm was ushered into the office of the National Chairman, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun where discussions were held behind closed doors.
