Former Manchester United attacker Wayne Rooney has trained with Everton after being charged with a drink driving offence.
The former England captain is set to wreak havoc on Tottenham's defence during Everton big clash with the North London side despite having private issues to sort out.

Rooney is set to appear in court on September 18 to face claims he was “driving whilst over the prescribed limit.”
Ronald Koeman who was visibly unhappy at the player's conduct following the opportunity handed to him to reignite his career and will closely monitor the player's fitness and mental state as he solves his issues.

Koeman issued a statement admitting he was disappointed with the news of the alleged offence, but he revealed that the striker will keep his place in the Blues team for the visit of Tottenham to Goodison on Saturday.
“He will play this Saturday. If I see that Wayne is not in a physical or mental condition to play then he won't play,” the Dutch coach explained.

“Obviously I am very disappointed by this situation regarding Wayne Rooney,” said the Dutchman, reading from a prepared statement.

“We have spoken on Tuesday and the chairman Bill Kenwright spoke also to Wayne about this situation.

“In line with any disciplinary matter this will be dealt with internally at an appropriate time and that is all I have to say about the case of Wayne Rooney.”
