Super Eagles striker Odion Ighalo was on Friday, September 1, 2017 booked by Egyptian referee Ghead Grisha after scoring the first goal in Nigeria's 4-0 win over Cameroon.
Odion Ighalo who currently plays in the Chinese Super League scored in the 30th minutes at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium in Uyo, but he was given a yellow card afterwards following his jubilation as he displayed a religious message on his T-shirt.
Fifa bans any unsanctioned political, religious or commercial messages on shirts, and Nigeria may be fined for running foul of the rules if the incident is included in the match report.
