Super Eagles and FSV Mainz 05 defender Leon Balogun has taken to his twitter account to cheer the home based Eagles despite the WAFU cup final 4-1 lost to the black stars of Ghana.
The defender who comically added that despite the fact that Nigeria lost the match that the country’s jollof rice is still better than that of Ghana.
He then offered his congratulations to the black stars of Ghana for a well-deserved victory.
Nigeria went into the encounter unbeaten with Super Eagles' goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa hoping to finish the tournament without conceding a goal, but he was badly exposed by Nigerian defenders and his wings were clipped.
Balogun will be on parade for the Super Eagles when the face the Chipolopolo's of Zambia in an all important World cup qualifiers in Uyo.
