A Nigerian soldier has written an open letter to civilians appreciating the treatment some of them give them in the society.
In the post exclusively sent to NAIJ.com, the soldier noted some of the relatively small things civilians do which really mean a lot to them.
He prayed for those who in their little ways try to make their lives better while also denouncing those that seek to make things hard for them

On behalf of all military men,
I say:
God give brain to some of our civilian friends that think because we are soldiers, they can start looking for trouble everywhere.
God bless those civilians that allow us withdraw money at the ATM before them despite the fact that they are not even aware that sometimes we are given only 15mins out of 24hours to solve all our personal issues and failure to return to the Base or to the Barracks at the given time attracts punishment.
God bless those drivers that ask us not to pay for mobility fee. Although they do not know that half of our salary is not for our personal consumption.
God help those our relatives that think because we are putting on camouflage, our salary is up to a million. So they put all their responsibilities on our Head.
God bless those barracks and Base women that sell on credit because they understand that even if a soldier has not been paid for 12months, he cannot protest.
God judge those GSM Network companies that deduct almost N50 for one minute, and give us excuses that it is because we are calling from the bush.
God expose those civilians that put on our uniform to commit infuriating atrocities and give a dog a bad name in order to hang it.
God give the latest version of brain to those our Facebook friends that write annoying things on our post but are ignorant of it.
God Bless all the Social media companies that write Positive and Motivating things in trying to fight for us, even when they know we can't complain even though we know we are being cheated.
May God disgrace all those who embezzle the benefits and allowances that is meant for Soldiers suffering and fighting for the security of the country.
May God bless the Golden heart Women who chooses to love us even when they know we don't always have much time for them.
God bless our children who do not have the opportunity of fatherly love and attention because we are always away from home.
