Ukrainian giants Shakhtar Donetsk produced an astonishing performance on Wednesday night, September 13, 2017 as they defeated Italian club Napoli 2-1 to begin their campaign in the 2017/18 Champions League on an impressive note.
Despite Shakhtar Donetsk not playing at their home ground which is now a territory occupied by rebels since 2014, they played in in Kharkiv, Eastern Ukraine.
They however brought to an end 17 match unbeaten runs of Napoli which was done in a dramatic style.

Taison and Ferreyra put Shakhtar Donetsk in front in the 15th and 58th minutes respectively before Milik reduced the scoreline for the visitors in the 71st minutes via a penalty.

Napoli tried all they could to maintain their unbeaten status, but Shakhtar Donetsk defenders were very strong as they held on for an incredible win over the Italians.
