He stated: “It is not about 2019 but about if the party is ready to work collectively, honestly and sincerely.
“The PDP campaigned for the All Progressive Party (APC) in 2015. Conversely, the APC is campaigning for the PDP now but until we work collectively, APC’s campaign for the PDP won’t work in our favour.”
Bafarawa urged both parties to work together in order to build the society.
He stated: “Anything aside of this is selfish interest, which leads to corruption and indiscipline.”
The PDP chieftain further stressed the importance of the media in a democratic society.
He stated: “The media is the live wire of any society but it will only succeed if practitioners are fair and fearless.
“Democracy without the media is like tea without sugar. Journalists that kill stories, kill themselves.”

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com previously reported that the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is expected to come back in full force to reclaim power at the centre in 2019.
According to political analysts, the country’s major opposition party will capitalize on the defects in the All Progressives Congress (APC)-led administration.
It is alleged that the APC under President Muhammadu Buhari has provided all the lethal weapons that would avail the PDP an opportunity to nail the party and government in the court of public opinion.
