A former Nigerian envoy to Canada Dare Bejide said the resignation of former vice president Atiku Abubakar from the All Progressive Congress is a signal that President Muhammadu Buhari has disappointed Nigerians.
Punch reports that Bejide said Atiku’s resignation from APC is an heavy blow on the party because it would help the Peoples Democratic Party to regain power at the centre in 2019.

The former envoy on Wednesday, November 29, made this known during a meeting with some party members in Ikere Ekiti local government, Ekiti state.
According to him, ''For a politician of Atiku’s standing to have defected shows President Buhari’s poor performances in government.

''It confirms the APC is not the best for Nigeria and his coming is a good development for our party.’'
Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that the minister of women affairs Aisha Alhassan and the governor of Adamawa state Jibrilla Bindow dumped their political benefactor Abubakar.
