A militant group in the Niger Delta region has on Wednesday, September 15 threatened attack oil and gas facilities belonging to Shell Petroleum Development Company (SPDC) in Ekeremor local government area of Bayelsa state.
The militant group which is known as the supreme Egbesu Tigers of Africa accused the company of neglecting the local content law in the state.
The group also issued a two-week ultimatum to the company to involve the Amabuluo federated communities in its operational activities.

The group said failure to do the aforementioned will lead to negative consequencies.
The group made disclosed this through its spokesperson, Ogoun Tensighan.
“The silence of the group should not be taken for granted as we are determined to make the region uninhabitable for the oil company to operate.
“We have watched with patience the impudence of some individuals from Egbemagalabri community to undermine the people of Amabulou Federated Communities.
“Job slots and benefits for the people of Amabulou are being diverted by these individuals while the original owners of the land where the oil is being explored are suffering," the group said.

Meanwhile, NAIJ.com had reported that a stern warning was sent to the Niger Delta Avengers over its recent threat to commence destruction of public facilities in the oil-rich region of Nigeria.
Ibok-Ete Ibas, the Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), sent the warning as he spoke with journalists at the eastern naval command headquarters in Calabar, Cross River state, on Tuesday, November 14.
