Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea have reportedly contacted Italian tactician Carlo Ancelotti over a surprise return to Stamford Bridge to replace Antonio Conte.
Ancelotti was sacked by Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich at the end of the 2010-11 campaign after finishing his second season in charge without a trophy.
But according to report by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the 58-year-old manager has had talks with Chelsea chiefs over a possible return to Stamford Bridge.

The future of Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has been in serious doubt this season following the departure of Spanish striker Diego Costa.

According to report, Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich was livid with the circumstances that surrounded Diego Costa's exit at the club.
