Reigning Premier League champions Chelsea are reportedly interested in the signing of Lyon defender Mouctar Diakhaby and the Blues would make their move in January.
The 20-year-old is regarded as one of the brightest prospects in Ligue 1 with Antonio Conte impressed by the French youth international.
According to Italian news outlet CalcioMercato, Chelsea are believed to be unhappy with Rudiger's performance this season following his £29 million switch from Roma.

Rudiger was heavily criticized following his performance for Chelsea in their 3-0 defeat against Roma in the Champions League.

This has led the West London side to eye up a potential move for Diakhaby as the Blues look to recruit yet another rising star from the French top-flight.
